Download Typis 2.0 Firmware
IMPORTANT NOTE BEFORE BEGINNING
This firmware was created for the Typis 2.0 and contains all the necessary settings to begin printing upon flashing. Some firmware settings are able to be altered on the LCD screen with the Typis 2.0 turned on. Do NOT alter any settings in the firmware or in the LCD configuration unless you are very familiar with such settings and their impact on the printer’s functionality.
Introduction to Marlin Firmware
Marlin is an open-source firmware primarily designed for RepRap project-based FDM 3D printers using the Arduino platform.
From time to time, Marlin’s software gets updates and bug fixes. This guide was made to assist in the update process to ensure the Typis 2.0 firmware is up to date with the latest version.
Download the Firmware
Download the most recent Averionics firmware build onto your computer by clicking the button above.
Once the file has finished downloading, insert the printer’s micro-SD card into the computer and transfer the file on to the micro-SD card.
Flashing the Firmware to the Printer
With the power off, insert the micro-SD card into the printer and wait a few seconds. Then, turn on the printer.
NOTE: It will take the printer a few seconds to flash the new firmware. During this time, the LCD screen will be blank. Do not panic!
When the Averionics logo appears, the firmware is added and updated!
If the logo does not appear after 30 seconds, there was a problem during the flashing process. The firmware must be redownloaded and re-flashed onto the SD card and the printer.
